The User-defined Member Coding Scheme “Detail View” is accessed by opening the Members folder in the “Module Explorer,” expanding the Value Tables subfolder and selecting the User-defined Member Coding Schemes module.

“Name”

The name of the user-defined coding scheme.

“Allow members to update their selection online”

This control, if checked, allows members to change their own code assignments online.

NOTE: This control is only available if the database from which you are working is internet enabled. For more information, please contact Chamber Data Systems, Inc.

Codes table

A scrollable table listing all codes associated with the scheme selected from the “List View.” This table is configurable. For more information see “Working within a module.”

Schemes menu

The Schemes menu has the usual menu items discussed in “Working Within a Module.” They are explained in more detail below:

“New Row”

Choosing “New row” creates a User-defined Member Scheme in which you name the scheme and define its codes (see below). For more information see “Adding/Editing User-defined Member Coding Schemes.”

NOTE: When you choose “New Row,” CC-Assist immediately adds a place for the scheme to the Member “Detail View”: “Codes” page.

“Delete Row”

Choosing “Delete row” does the following:

  • deletes the Member User-defined Scheme from the table, and
  • deletes the place in each Member “Detail View”: “Codes” page where you can enter a code from the scheme.

NOTE: CC-Assist does not allow you to delete any codes that have been assigned to any members.

“Procedures”

Choosing this menu item displays a selection dialog box from which you can choose any procedures that are implemented as “installed options.”

Output menu

Choosing this menu item provides access to different USCC related reports. There are two output categories to choose from: “User-defined Member Coding Scheme Listing” and “Other.”

“User-defined Member Coding Scheme Listing”

Choosing this menu item displays the “Print Job” window from which you can print a list of the codes that have been defined for a selected scheme with a count of how many members have been assigned each code.

“Other”

Choosing this menu item displays a selection dialog box from which you can choose any outputs that are implemented as “installed options.”

Codes menu

The Codes menu is discussed in “Working within a module” and it includes the following menu items.

“New Row”

Choosing “New Row” opens the User-defined Codes level. The “List View” displays all codes associated with the selected scheme. The “Detail View” is blank and available for data entry. For more information see “Adding/Editing User-defined Member Coding Schemes.”

“Open Row”

Choosing this item from the Codes menu opens the User-defined Codes level and allows a user to edit the “Code” and “Description” text boxes.

“Delete Row”

Choosing “Delete Row” deletes the currently selected or “highlighted” “Code.” Choose this item if you want to delete an existing record, and /or if you inadvertently chose the “New Row” item and unintentionally created a new blank record. (Note: a deleted “Code” cannot be “undeleted.” Therefore, be certain you want to delete it before doing so.)

“Procedures”

Choosing this menu item displays a selection dialog box from which you can choose any procedures that are implemented as “installed options.”
