The G/L Accounts module is accessed by opening the G/L Accounts folder in the “Module Explorer” and selecting the G/L Accounts module.

G/L Accounts “List View”

A scrollable table that contains all G/L Accounts. The G/L Accounts “List View” has four default columns: “Category,” “Title,” “Account Id” and “Normal Balance.” The table is configurable. Read more about customizing this table in “Working within a module.”

Description

“Category”

Each G/L Account must have an assigned Account Category. An Account Category is the type of account (i.e. liability, income or expense). For more information see the “Account Categories module.”

“Title”

The title that has been assigned to a posting account

“Account Id”

The unique ID that has been assigned to a posting account

“Normal Balance”

The normal balance of the account

G/L Accounts “Detail View”

The G/L Accounts “Detail View” displays the information for the currently selected G/L Account from the G/L Accounts “List View.” The G/L Accounts “Detail View” is composed of two tabbed pages: “Basic Info” and “Register.”

“Basic Info”

In the “Basic Info” page of a G/L Account “Detail View” the following textboxes and settings are available.

“ID”

The unique ID assigned to a posting account.

“Title”

The title or name assigned to a posting account.

“Normal Balance”

The normal balance of the account. Revenue and liability accounts typically have a normal credit balance. Expense and asset accounts typically have a normal debit balance.

“Notes”

This scrollable textbox is used to document any historical information or rules about an account.

“Category”

The type of account (i.e. liability, income or expense)

“Select QB Account”

The setting allows you to map or view which QuickBooks account is mapped to the selected CC-Assist G/L Account.

“Register” page

The “Register” page of a G/L Account “Detail View” displays a “Register” table.

“Register” table

A scrollable table containing the account’s transaction items listed in chronological order. The table is configurable. Read more about customizing this table in “Working within a module.”
