A Sales Tax Code in CC-Assist .NET has two purposes. First it allows you to designate if items are taxable. A customer’s non-profit status, as well as the type of goods or service you are providing will determine if tax should be charged. The Sales Tax Codes module allows you to track this information. The second purpose of Sales Tax Codes is they allow you to map a Sales Tax Code to another Sales Tax Code in QuickBooks. This mapping is used in the interface between CC-Assist .NET and QuickBooks.
